Trekabout Photography Workshops are proud to present an evening of photography in aid of Oxfam Trailwalker - Team Up Against Poverty.


In particular, in aid of the R2D2 team competing in the Oxfam Trailwalker event. Michael Snedic's wife, Dena, is part of Team R2D2, a team which at the time of this writing, is leading the Queensland challenge.

We, with your support, will help them absolutely crush their $9000.00 target.

How are we going to do this?

On May 22 2012, (mark it in your diary) we will present a photography event not to be missed.

The event will be held at the Performing Arts Centre, Northlakes State College. Doors open from 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start through until 9:30pm.

Michael Snedic will deliver a 'Wildlife and Nature' presentation showcasing some of his most popular and unique images. Michael's easy going presentation style and passion for his craft will ensure you of an informative and thoroughly enjoyable session.

Mark Rayner will present an informative session on the recently released Adobe Lightroom 4. Mark will demonstrate many of the new features and provide an overview of how LR4 can help speed your workflow and provide you with amazing results.

Special guest speaker, William Long, will finish the evening's presentations talking over his life in photography and showing you some of his amazing images. William's list of accomplishments and awards needs a webpage of it's own but a quick summary will see that he has achieved:

Award winning photographers, Michael Snedic and Mark Rayner (click on names for their biographies) have over 40 years of photographic experience between them. 

They are both AIPP Fully Accredited professional photographers, passionate about their craft, good communicators and experienced tutors.  As well as lots of group tuition, each and every participant will receive personalised tutoring, suiting their individual level and needs. 

While in the field, you will be shown how to achieve the best results from your camera. On selected workshops, Michael and Mark will critique some of the photos taken that day and give advice on any improvements that can be made. 

Numbers are limited to a maximum of 14 for half and one day workshops and 14 to 16 for weekend and longer workshops assuring you of very personal attention.   

You will learn much more with hands-on photographic tuition, by two highly-professional photographers and experienced tutors, than you will ever gain from reading photography books and magazines or browsing the internet. 

Over the years, Michael and Mark have learned many techniques and tips that have allowed them to become successful in their field. They will share this experience and knowledge throughout each “in-the-field” workshop presented.

 You will be guided through a simplified digital workflow to make post-processing of images easier, as well as a few quick tips on some of the more useful image-manipulation techniques.

Each workshop is tailored to different aspects of photography, where there will be an opportunity to experiment with various methods and styles.

Mark and Michael have a professional, yet relaxed tuition style. You will learn many new techniques and have fun in the process.
