The results of the 2009 ANZANG (Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and New Guinea) Nature Photographer of the Year competition have just been announced and Trekabout Photography Workshops are pleased to announce that five of Michael’s images were awarded “highly commended”, two of which made it to the finals. 

The images awarded are:
 

• Albert’s Lyrebird displaying – Threatened Species (highly commended and finalist)
• Mantis – Animal Portrait (highly commended and finalist)
• Breaching Humpback Whale – Animal Behaviour (highly commended)
• Tawny Frogmouth  - Animal Portrait (highly commended)
• Bronzewing Pigeon wing – Interpretive (highly commended)
