With the intense summer sun and heat we all tend to slap on the sunscreen to protect ourselves from burning. Unfortunately, the lotions and creams designed to protect you can cause significant damage to your camera and lenses. Sunscreen can be especially difficult to remove from lenses and could even damage lenses coatings, severely affecting your lenses performance.

And of course with the heat come the mozzies and flies. Be especially careful when using personal insect sprays near your gear. Place your gear away in your camera bag and then move well away to avoid any over-spray reaching your gear.
